Vierschach is a part of the municipality of Innichen. The market town of Innichen is located at 1,170 m above sea level in the South Tyrolean Pustertal, a valley that borders Austria. The Drau, the river that rises at the watershed of the Toblacher Feld, flows through the village. The town is surrounded by impressive mountains, dark moor lakes and the bizarre rocks of the Dolomites. It has about 3,000 inhabitants and is part of the Sextner Dolomiten national park.

Innichen is a popular holiday destination in the South Tyrolean Hochpustertal. It offers its visitors a great variety of activities both in summer and in winter. The main activities are walking and climbing as well as cycling in summer. In winter tourists are attracted by the Helm-Rotwand and Haunold ski resorts. Innichen is connected to the Hochpustertal cross-country ski run network which consists of more than 200 well-prepared ski runs – a cross-country skier's paradise! There is also the possibility to go ice-skating. The beautiful winter landscape invites you to go snowshoe walking as well as back-country skiing. In addition, Innichen has an indoor swimming pool.

The church with its three naves is the most important Romanesque religious building in the Eastern Alps – it is definitely worth visiting!
